Hi! If you have landed here looking for a hair appointment with me, I first want to thank you so much for the interest! I have been so fortunate over the last 5 years working independently to have met so many amazing people, and continue to do so every day.
While I was reflecting on the journey I have had in my career, I realized that I only started to feel good about my work once I went on my own. I tried to fit into different spaces, but ultimately never found satisfaction or success until I was able to focus on being authentic, and allowing the clients who were searching for that to find me. I have come to a point where I want to expand that beyond my one person shop, and give other stylists looking for somewhere with shared values somewhere to work without being alone as the only option. I also want to be able to have space for more guests looking to have their hair done in a shop that not only prioritizes the craft of hairdressing, but also want to support stylists who have values they share. Where we spend our money matters, and I know for myself and most people I know we want to support local humans who care about our community.
I have been working hard with my friend Brittany, who I have known for over 10 years, to create a salon that focuses on good hair without sacrificing our values. Our new salon boasts HEPA filtration throughout the entire space, only uses vegan & cruelty free products, and focuses on sustainability with everything from what we use to clean, the materials used in our shop, what we put in your hair, and the furniture you sit on. We recycle all our extra products and materials, support and give back to out local community, and strive to improve and learn every day how we can do better and leave the world a better place.
For anyone who has had an appointment with me and is wondering if the experience will be different, the answer is yes and no. I still work in a private room, in fact we have 3 private rooms that anyone can request services in even if they are with another stylist. I still wear a mask to reduce spread of illness, and any of our stylists will also wear one if requested. I will still work one on one with you, unless you come with a friend and want to share an appointment. The main difference is the waiting area and location. We have several lounge areas while you wait to choose from, and you are welcome to help yourself to any of our vegan snacks or beverages. My main goal is your comfort, so having different lounge options that are spaced out and comfortable was important to me.
Something new I am excited to now offer is a more accessible space. There is accessible parking, an elevator, and we have a wheelchair accessible sink. I searched for the widest styling chair seats for added comfort.
I’m sure I could go on, but I really wanted to keep this web page up for anyone looking for me to be able to see where I’ve gone and what to expect. The salon name may have changed, but I hope that the experience in my chair is better than ever. I care so much about how people feel during their appointment with me, and afterwards at home, and have tried to create a space that reflects that.
If anyone has any questions, I am keeping my personal contact details the same, at least for a while.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all the support that has allowed me to envision a shop with more capacity.
I’m Gabrielle (she/they), owner and sole stylist at Head Space Hair Studio. My services are inclusive, fully vegan & cruelty-free, and your appointment is totally customizable to your needs. Whether you love to chat, rest your eyes, listen to music, or watch a show - I am here to make your experience whatever you need it to be!
A fresh take on hair
I am not a salon that shies away from the uncomfortable. Our world is uncomfortable - while sometimes I am a refuge for peace, sometimes you just need someone to be frustrated at it all with. Head Space is not somewhere you need to put a mask* on to be in. Whoever you are, whatever you need, I welcome you with open arms and hope I can help you feel good inside and outside.

Client love
“Gabby is an incredibly talented hair stylist and an absolute gem of a human being! Super professional and friendly. She is attentive and delivers way beyond expectations. I've been so fortunate to have her cut and style my hair for the past two years and I am always completely blown away by how she transforms and elevates my hair game. She also gives the best head massages and always shares great hair care advice.”

“Gabby is a fantastic hair stylist and you can tell she is very knowledgeable. She knows what looks good and makes great recommendations but doesn't take away from the person’s style or look. She is open to trying mostly anything and is very warm and welcoming. She also gives the most amazing head massages which I look forward to every appointment on top of being taken care of and treated well. I recommend her to everyone I know!”

“Gabby is patient, kind, fun, and best of all, talented! She takes the time to get to know her clients in order to not only help them look their best, but feel their best as well. She uses only vegan and cruelty-free products, her prices are gender-neutral and based on the length of the appointment. She is a tip-free stylist, but I could tip her a thousand times over! Plus she has popsicles!”
